Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tumleh Schmitt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Karey Fangbattle! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Glass and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schmitt doesn't succeed with the takedown and Fangbattle counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Fangbattle closes the distance and pushes Schmitt back into the cage. Fangbattle escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Schmitt misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Fangbattle is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Schmitt fails with the takedown and Fangbattle holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tumleh Schmitt. Schmitt looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Schmitt fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Fangbattle avoids it really well and circles away. Schmitt looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Fangbattle is fending him off so far but Schmitt persists. Nope, Fangbattle circles away and we're back to standing. Schmitt jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Fangbattle walks away with a smile on his face. Schmitt gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Schmitt misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Fangbattle moves into range and clinches up with Schmitt. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Fangbattle breaks from the clinch.

Karey Fangbattle dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Schmitt trying to keep a closed guard but Fangbattle is proving a slippery customer.
Fangbattle decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Schmitt shoots in for a takedown but Fangbattle shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Fangbattle has taken the fight to the clinch.
