Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Han Denderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Herra Hiiri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Han Denderson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Herra Hiiri! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Dirk Anderson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hiiri misses with a straight left. Denderson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hiiri to the mat! Hiiri manages to get full guard. Denderson lands a couple of digs. Hiiri tries to land a sweep but no joy. Hiiri is looking to stand up but Denderson isn't so interested in that idea. Hiiri is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Denderson working some strikes from top position. Denderson throwing strikes from guard but Hiiri blocks nicely. Denderson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hiiri works some decent striking defense from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Denderson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Hiiri is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Denderson won't allow Hiiri to sweep him here. Denderson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Denderson stands and throws Hiiri's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Denderson lands a decent elbow from side control. Denderson connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Hiiri some visible discomfort.
Denderson has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Denderson grinds an elbow into Hiiri's temple. Hiiri really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Denderson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hiiri takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Hiiri is looking for a sweep. Hiiri prevents Denderson from moving into mount. Denderson cracks Hiiri with a big right hand but Hiiri just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Hiiri struggling a bit here. Denderson scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Hiiri to see if he's OK. Denderson trying to control the action but Hiiri is working from the bottom. Denderson in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Hiiri is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Han Denderson! Han Denderson decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
