Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricky James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damian Kita (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kita is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Aleja Gwiazd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ricky James! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Damian Kita! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Sandra Marshall and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kita tries to clinch but James moves out of range. Kita misses with a low kick as James jumps back. James appears to be looking for a big counter. Kita tries to close the distance and clinch up but James swats him away and circles back towards the center. Kita punishes James's body with a nice straight punch. Kita tries a head kick but it misses.
Kita misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
James throws a big counter combination but Kita scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Kita lands with a nice combination. James backs away looking to recover.
It looks like Ricky James has been cut. Kita throws a chopping leg kick but James manages to avoid taking any serious damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kita darts in and clinches James up against the cage. Kita tries to land knees in the clinch but James avoids the damage to the body. Kita looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Kita gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from James.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kita wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. James has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Kita is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Kita is looking to break free of the clinch but James has double underhooks. A short right from Kita on the inside. Kita is trying to force a seperation but James has the dominant position. Kita trying to land knees to the body.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ricky James. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kita has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Kita should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Kita looking to stall.

James drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Kita escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kita throws a series of punches but James avoids them all with ease. James throws a quick counter kick to the body but Kita avoids it. Kita lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Kita fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kita thuds a left hand into James's body. Kita's coach down at Harambe Remembrance Hall was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Kita's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Kita misses the shot to the body. Kita moves in looking to clinch but James pushes him off. James seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Kita throws a wild combination but nothing lands. As Kita looks to move away, James throws a big counter combo but Kita just gets out of the way. Kita tries to clinch up but James circles away and keeps his distance. James went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Kita dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Good shot there by Kita. Kita works over James's head and body with a nice combination. Kita digs a good body shot into James's ribs. Damian Kita seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kita tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Damian Kita is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kita tries to clinch there but James circles away.
It looked like James was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Kita throws a right and a left that both miss. James tries to move into range but Kita moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! James changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kita looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Kita is looking for a sweep. James connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Kita some visible discomfort.
James landing strikes. James swings around for an armbar but Kita sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into James's guard. James keeping moving, preventing Kita from controlling successfully. James pulls Kita in close to prevent any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Damian Kita dominated that round. The cut man is working on Ricky James's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Kita throws a nice looking combination but James bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Kita lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but James circles away quickly and effectively. A head kick misses from Kita. James looking to score a takedown here. Kita is defending well but James drives through and ends up in Kita's guard. Kita looking to control.
James postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. James chips away with some ground and pound. We've been hearing good reports from James's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. James lands a couple of decent looking shots. James with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. James has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. James scoring with punches to the head and body. James working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. James postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. James connects with a couple of short punches. Kita has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! That's one minute gone in the round. James landing with the ground and pound. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Hammerfist, elbow! yells James's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Kita has a closed guard, preventing James from standing up. James with a nice head shot there. James postures up and lands a big shot to Kita's brow. James with a nice head shot there. James with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. James stands up over Kita, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. James postures up and lands a big shot to Kita's brow. James landing with the ground and pound. Kita has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. James doesn't defend quickly enough and Kita has managed to lock this one up! Can James escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Kita on a fantastic submission victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Damian Kita! After winning the bout, Damian Kita thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
