Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maro Veljanovski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abbas Shahriari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Veljanovski has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Tarja Halkonen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Veljanovski throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Veljanovski is breathing heavily.
Shahriari lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
It looks like Maro Veljanovski has been cut.
Veljanovski gets caught flat footed, as Shahriari shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Shahriari is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Shahriari takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Let's hope that Shahriari has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Abbas Shahriari comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Shahriari has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
