PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Goki Shibukawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yung Hung Dong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shibukawa comes into the arena with Ramallah - Days of Revenge blaring out of the sound system. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Goki Shibukawa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Yung Hung Dong!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Ren Mimura and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dong bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Shibukawa's head backwards.
Shibukawa throws a body shot but no joy.
Shibukawa changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Shibukawa tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Dong manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Dong lands a lovely overhand right.
Shibukawa closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dong circles away.
Dong uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Shibukawa has time to react.
Shibukawa wants to land a leg kick but Dong is out of range.

Dong fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Shibukawa looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Shibukawa is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Dong.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dong can do anything to dispel that myth.
