Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kwan Oluwatobi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wamberto Boaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boaz comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Preciso me encontrar kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kwan Oluwatobi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Wamberto Boaz! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oluwatobi lands a jab to the head.
Oluwatobi dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Boaz will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Boaz throws a body punch but Oluwatobi moves out of range. Wamberto Boaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A looping hook to the body misses from Oluwatobi. Boaz does a little dance to reset his feet. Oluwatobi throws a looping overhand right but Boaz ducks down to avoid it. Oluwatobi uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Boaz. Boaz waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Oluwatobi. Boaz tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Oluwatobi was well out of range. Poor timing from Boaz. Boaz jabbing away but nothing is landing. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Boaz lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Oluwatobi has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Oluwatobi and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Oluwatobi scores with a jab to the body. A looping hook to the body misses from Oluwatobi. Boaz does a little dance to reset his feet. Oluwatobi fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Boaz manages to avoid it. Oluwatobi slips a straight right by Boaz.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boaz throws a combination that misses and Oluwatobi counters with a nice body shot. Oluwatobi displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Boaz. An attempted straight right counter from Oluwatobi misses the target. Oluwatobi moves into range and connects with a jab.
It looks like Wamberto Boaz has been cut. Boaz throws a hook but Oluwatobi blocks it. Oluwatobi was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Boaz has his takedown stuffed enabling Oluwatobi to counter with a crisp jab. Kwan Oluwatobi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wamberto Boaz. Oluwatobi's jab looks to have found its range, popping Boaz under the eye. Kwan Oluwatobi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A low kick from Boaz misses and Oluwatobi counters with a left to the body. Boaz doesn't succeed with the takedown letting Oluwatobi counter with a right hand. Boaz swings and misses with a hook to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boaz closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Oluwatobi to the mat! Oluwatobi manages to get full guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Boaz drops back looking for a leg! Oluwatobi is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Oluwatobi manages to kick Boaz off! Boaz jumps back into Oluwatobi's guard. Boaz looking to pass the guard. Boaz is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Boaz advances to half guard. Boaz wants to lay and pray for a moment but Oluwatobi keeps working.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boaz is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Oluwatobi wants to control but Boaz is keeping busy.
Oluwatobi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Boaz on the ground. Oluwatobi is looking to improve his position.

Boaz trying to control the action but Oluwatobi is working from the bottom. Boaz might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Oluwatobi haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Oluwatobi is looking to control Boaz's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Oluwatobi avoid being mounted?
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Oluwatobi moves away from the strike by Boaz. Oluwatobi swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Boaz is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. Boaz takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

They are putting on a show! Oluwatobi tries to kick Boaz off but Boaz keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Boaz is figuring out what he wants to do next. Boaz is working for a kimura but Oluwatobi is defending it quite comfortably.

That's seven minutes gone in the round. Boaz not landing any meaningful shots this time. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Boaz looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's eight minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Boaz wants to work for an arm triangle but Oluwatobi is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Boaz throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Oluwatobi sees it coming and avoids it easily. Boaz gets off balance looking for a body kick and Oluwatobi counters with a nice body shot. Oluwatobi cracks Boaz with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Oluwatobi is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Oluwatobi uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Boaz. Oluwatobi looks to score with a jab to the body but Boaz is just out of range. Oluwatobi blocks a head kick by Boaz.
Boaz closes this distance looking for a takedown but Oluwatobi circles away. As Boaz looks to move away, Oluwatobi throws a big counter combo but Boaz just gets out of the way. Boaz throws a leg kick that is checked and Oluwatobi counters with a stiff right hand. Boaz on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

and Oluwatobi counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Boaz throws a body kick that misses and Oluwatobi makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Boaz misses with a takedown and Oluwatobi counters with a crisp right hand that drops Boaz! Oluwatobi lets Boaz back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Boaz is rocked! Kwan Oluwatobi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wamberto Boaz. Boaz is breathing heavily. BOOM! Oluwatobi lands a beautiful left hook that drops Boaz. Boaz tries to recover but Oluwatobi is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Boaz lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
