Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Drew Price! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rick Johnson! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, John Kavanagh and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Price trying to strike off his back.
Price has his foot on Johnson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Johnson works his way back into a safe position though. Johnson wants to control from the top but Price keeps moving. Price keeping full guard, as Johnson tries to pass. Price throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Price has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Johnson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Johnson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Price is keeping the position for now. Johnson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson trying to stand up but can't free himself from Price's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Price scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Price with a lazy takedown attempt and Johnson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Price's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Price keeping moving, preventing Johnson from controlling successfully. Price looking for a guillotine here but Johnson defends easily.
Price wants to stand but Johnson is controlling the position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Johnson stands up from Price's guard - Johnson perhaps looking for a knockout. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Drew Price will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Drew Price overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Price looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Johnson is defending well. Price quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Johnson has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Price celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
