Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Javier Esposito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Gombos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Javier Esposito!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dan Gombos!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gombos lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Dan Gombos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gombos shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Esposito as he jumps to the side.
Esposito lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Esposito uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Gombos.

Gombos closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Esposito quickly recovers to half guard.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Gombos working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

We've been hearing good reports from Esposito's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Gombos escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Esposito gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

and Gombos counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Esposito thinking.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Gombos is looking to cinch up a triangle. Esposito throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Gombos's body to avoid the submission. Gombos has instead reached around Esposito's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Gombos arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Dan Gombos!
After the fight, Dan Gombos was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
