Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Mosby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Pierno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pierno has chosen Umberto Tozzi - Gloria as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daniel Mosby! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
22 - 11 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tim Pierno! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Richard Clark and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mosby staying out of range there. Pierno misses with a lunging right hand
and Pierno takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Pierno missing with a left hand there. Mosby was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Mosby misses with a wild body shot. Mosby listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Pierno tries to sprawl but Mosby drives through with a takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mosby is trying to control. Pierno wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Mosby tries to pass the half guard into mount. Pierno knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Mosby looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Pierno tries to roll over but Mosby keeps him under control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mosby missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Mosby is looking for a kimura here.
Mosby takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Mosby is trying to control. Pierno wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Mosby is trying to work for a kimura but Pierno is defending well.
Pierno is trying to get back to full guard. Pierno felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Mosby is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Pierno doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Mosby.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Pierno tries to roll over but Mosby keeps him under control. Mosby sitting and controlling from the half guard. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mosby tries to pass to full mount but Pierno defends it. Mosby is looking to take a break and control but Pierno is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. A decent looking cross lands there for Mosby. Pierno waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Mosby. Mosby lands with a nice body punch. Mosby throws a jab but it's blocked by Pierno. Pierno smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Mosby swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Daniel Mosby seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mosby slips under a jab. Mosby slips a straight right by Pierno.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mosby throws a hook to the side of Pierno's head but Pierno sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Pierno wants to counter the offense by Mosby and move into the clinch position. Pierno throws out a loose jab but Mosby uses good head movement to avoid it. Pierno tries to close the distance and clinch but Mosby swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Pierno changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Pierno is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Mosby. A telegraphed right hand from Mosby misses the target. Mosby fails with a takedown attempt. Pierno connects with a body shot. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Pierno bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Pierno moves away from the strike by Mosby. Pierno connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pierno works Mosby's body with a nice hook. Mosby tests Pierno's chin there with a solid looking shot. Mosby wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Pierno needs to keep his hands up - Mosby had a free shot at his head there. Mosby on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

and Mosby counters with a stiff right hand. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mosby showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Pierno.

That's one minute gone in the round. Pierno walks into a straight right hand from Mosby. Pierno ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mosby moves away. Pierno takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Mosby uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Pierno. Pierno darts in trying to clinch and Mosby counters with a lovely shot to the body. Mosby lands a nice leg kick that just misses Pierno's sensitive parts. Mosby takes a swing at Pierno's ribcage but misses. Mosby misses with a left hand and Pierno counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Pierno throws a big shot that misses. Mosby swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Pierno tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mosby swats him away and circles back towards the center. Mosby throws out a leg kick but Pierno moves out of range and Mosby only half commits. Mosby throws a sloppy body shot

Mosby has his takedown stuffed and Pierno counters with a nice uppercut. No luck with that takedown attempt from Mosby. Tim Pierno seems to be getting the better of the standup. Mosby fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Pierno has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Pierno takes a swing at Mosby's ribcage but misses. Mosby bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Pierno throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Mosby ducks under a wild hook from Pierno. Mosby was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Mosby fails to land the takedown. Pierno steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Mosby. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daniel Mosby. That's going to take a lot out of him.

enabling Pierno to counter with a crisp jab. Mosby loads up on a big right hand but Pierno slips the punch. Pierno scores with a nice strike. Nice uppercut lands for Pierno. That snapped Mosby's head back.
Mosby is rocked! Pierno looks to throw the jab but Mosby is out of range. Oh Mosby is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! and Pierno counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Mosby! He's just covering up as Pierno starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tim Pierno! A relieved looking Tim Pierno thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
