Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ulysses Pluto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johannes Brahms (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ulysses Pluto! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johannes Brahms! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Bruno Lombardi and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pluto shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Pluto misses with a hook
and Brahms counters with a thumping low kick. Pluto definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Brahms throws out a powerful jab. A looping hook to the body misses from Pluto. Brahms does a little dance to reset his feet. A slapping leg kick lands for Brahms.
Brahms fakes the leg kick and cracks Pluto in the body. Pluto on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Pluto avoids the head kick by Brahms.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brahms is looking to slow Pluto down with leg kicks. Brahms throws a leg kick which misses Pluto's front leg but catches the back leg as Pluto tries to avoid it. No luck for Brahms with that takedown attempt.

Pluto stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Brahms. Pluto looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Brahms wants to get back to full guard. Brahms is refusing to be controlled, as Pluto sits in half guard. Pluto seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Brahms taking some punishment here, with Pluto in his half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brahms tries to get to full guard but Pluto has control of the leg. Pluto is stalling here. Brahms is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Pluto seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Brahms has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Brahms looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Pluto is avoiding damage well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Pluto tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Brahms wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Brahms throws a strike aimed at the side of Pluto's head but Pluto avoids it well. Brahms working the head with strikes. Pluto is looking for a sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brahms tries to score with some ground and pound. Pluto controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Pluto is trying to get back to half guard. Pluto parries the strikes from Brahms easily there. Brahms is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Pluto to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brahms throws a strike aimed at the side of Pluto's head but Pluto avoids it well. Who's going to make the next move? Brahms is trying to get an arm triangle but Pluto is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. What's Pluto going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle. Pluto gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Pluto controlling the position well. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Brahms throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Johannes Brahms dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Pluto throws a right hand that misses
and Brahms counters with a nice uppercut. Pluto stuffs the takedown. Pluto feinted there with a counter leg kick. Good work by Brahms as he checks the leg kick. Brahms takes one to the side of the head.

That's one minute gone in the round. Pluto chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Brahms can pounce on him.
Pluto looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Brahms fakes the leg kick and cracks Pluto in the body. Pluto throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Brahms counters with a nice kick to the body. Brahms digs a good hook to Pluto's body.
Pluto swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Pluto takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Brahms throws a quick inside leg kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pluto throws a lazy uppercut
and Brahms counters with a thumping low kick. Pluto is looking to chop away at Brahms's legs. Brahms appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. Pluto steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Brahms. That one must have hurt. Johannes Brahms seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Brahms misses the shot to the body. Brahms scores with a punch to the head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Brahms throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Pluto stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Brahms, right into the meat.

Pluto on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Brahms. Brahms obviously looking to wear him down.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brahms lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Pluto on the wrong end of a nice hook. Pluto takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Pluto misses with a looping left. Pluto gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Brahms counters with a nice uppercut. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ulysses Pluto. That's going to take a lot out of him. Brahms cracks Pluto with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Pluto misses with a hook
and Brahms counters with a nice body kick. Brahms catches Pluto with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Pluto on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brahms gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Pluto to score an easy takedown into full guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Brahms looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Brahms has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Brahms not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Pluto avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Brahms is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Pluto defends well. Pluto wants to control from the top but Brahms keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Johannes Brahms showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Pluto ducks under a wild hook from Brahms. A low kick from Pluto misses and Brahms counters with an inside leg kick. Brahms scores with a nice strike. Brahms looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pluto is fending him off so far but Brahms persists. Nope, Pluto circles away and we're back to standing. A low kick from Pluto is predictable there so Brahms counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Pluto seems keen to control Brahms's posture. Johannes Brahms has got the better of the ground game so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brahms wants to pass the guard but Pluto is keeping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brahms with a flurry of punches that miss. Pluto trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Brahms slips nicely into half guard. Brahms prevents Pluto from improving his position. Brahms throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Pluto knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Brahms on the ground. Pluto has his hands clasped together around Brahms's back. He's all about the action. Brahms drops an elbow to the side of Pluto's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pluto slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Brahms postures up in Pluto's guard and throws a big left but Pluto blocks it. Brahms is pushing down on Pluto's leg trying to pass to half guard. Pluto is fighting to maintain full guard but Brahms has managed to sneak the leg through. Brahms throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Brahms missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Pluto actively working from the bottom here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pluto has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Brahms is working away from the top position though. Brahms sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Pluto defending well though. Pluto controlling the position well. Johannes Brahms is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Brahms has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Pluto is refusing to be controlled, as Brahms sits in half guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Brahms sizes up Pluto with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Pluto uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Brahms. Pluto sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Brahms scores with a leg kick.

and Brahms counters with an outside leg kick.
Brahms scores with a jab. Pluto acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Pluto shoots in but Brahms avoids the takedown attempt easily. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Brahms clobbers Pluto with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
And that's the end of the fight! Johannes Brahms comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Brahms has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
