Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tony Riley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Reggie Grimdal! The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Atkins and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Grimdal tries to sprawl but Riley drives through with a takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Still in half guard, Riley seems content to control. Grimdal looks like he's trying to stand up.

Riley is pushing down on Grimdal's leg trying to pass to half guard. Grimdal is fighting to maintain full guard but Riley has managed to sneak the leg through. Riley not landing any meaningful shots this time. Riley is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Grimdal has managed to free his arm - good work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Riley wants to work for an arm triangle but Grimdal is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round. Riley controlling the action here. Riley has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Riley is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Riley is looking for a kimura but Grimdal is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Riley to get the leverage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Grimdal is not content to let Riley control the position. Riley is working for a kimura here but Grimdal manages to reverse the position and he's now in Riley's guard.
Grimdal really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Riley. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Riley working for a triangle but Grimdal defends it easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Riley bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Grimdal's guard. Riley sitting in guard, not really doing much. Riley trying to control but Grimdal is working from the bottom. Riley postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Riley throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Riley circles away from the clinch attempt and Riley counters with a nice double leg into side control. Grimdal won't be happy with that. Riley wants to control but Grimdal is keeping him busy. Riley wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Grimdal, who protects the arm well. Riley wants to control but Grimdal is keeping him busy. Riley is staying tight to Grimdal's torso, preventing him from escaping. Riley stands up and we're back to a striking position. Riley tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Grimdal defends well and Riley ends up having to push Grimdal into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Grimdal shapes to counter with a head kick. Grimdal tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Riley swivels and escapes. A momentary lapse in concentration from Grimdal enables Riley to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Grimdal manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Riley trying to control the position from guard on top but Grimdal is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Riley is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Riley has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Riley prevents Grimdal from getting back to his feet. Riley stands and throws Grimdal's legs to the side, diving into side control. Riley is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Grimdal looks calm but he's in trouble here. Riley gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Grimdal is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Riley lets go of the hold and Grimdal can pop his arm back in it's socket.
