Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Seth Powers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DJ Mookie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Seth Powers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, DJ Mookie! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Anthony Taglia and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mookie tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Powers counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Powers. Mookie looking to hit a scissor sweep but Powers is one step ahead there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mookie can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Powers controls the pace. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Powers might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Mookie is trying to keep Powers in close.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mookie preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Powers gets to his feet - Mookie follows without any prompting. Powers closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Mookie's guard. Mookie really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Powers. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Powers working some strikes from top position. Powers is pushing down on Mookie's leg trying to pass to half guard. Mookie is fighting to maintain full guard but Powers has managed to sneak the leg through. Powers decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Mookie throws a right hand that Powers ducks under and follows up with a left that Powers also avoids with ease. Powers jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Danga de danga de dang - Mookie scores with a four punch combination! Powers circles away from the clinch attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Powers tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Powers digs a good body shot into Mookie's ribs. Powers could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Mookie looks winded! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mookie gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Powers to score an easy takedown into full guard. Powers slips nicely into half guard. Powers is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Powers perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Powers escapes and gets back to his feet. Mookie checks the leg kick nicely there.
Powers connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Mookie! He's out on his feet! Powers rushes in and drops Mookie with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Seth Powers!
