Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andy Carroll (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manolito Damhuis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carroll comes into the arena with I Disappear by Metallica blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
26 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andy Carroll! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Manolito Damhuis! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carroll misses with a left hand and Damhuis counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Some bone on bone action there as Damhuis checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. A head kick misses from Damhuis. Carroll walks into a straight right hand from Damhuis. Damhuis looks to throw the jab but Carroll is out of range. Damhuis shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Carroll misses with an uppercut. Damhuis saw that one coming. Carroll forces Damhuis back against the cage and clinches. Damhuis wants to break the clinch but can't.
Damhuis manages to break the clinch.
Carroll takes the fight into the clinch. Carroll throws a punch but it's blocked by Damhuis. Damhuis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Carroll dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Damhuis. That did some damage! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Damhuis moves out of range as Carroll strikes. Damhuis takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

That's one minute gone in the round. Carroll uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Damhuis. Carroll misses with a few strikes there.
And Damhuis tries to counter it with a takedown but Carroll pushes his down on his head and steps out. A big left from Carroll misses. Damhuis with the counter takedown but Carroll avoids it easily. Damhuis goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Carroll wants to clinch. Damhuis throws a low kick but Carroll avoids it. Damhuis misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Carroll.
Carroll jabs Damhuis to the body, keeping him at a distance. Carroll with a hook. Carroll doesn't manage to clinch there - Damhuis circles away.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Carroll misses with an uppercut. And Damhuis tries to counter it with a takedown but Carroll pushes his down on his head and steps out. Carroll fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Damhuis, pushing him back against the cage. Damhuis breaks from the clinch.
Carroll fails to land with a series of punches.
Carroll swings and misses with a hook to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Carroll misses with a wild body shot. Carroll tries to clinch up. Carroll swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Carroll throws a lazy right hand but Damhuis sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Carroll paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Carroll tries to clinch and Damhuis decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Carroll's guard. Damhuis trying to control the position from guard on top but Carroll is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. My spies in Cutthroat inform me that Damhuis has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Damhuis throws a big elbow that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Damhuis passes into half guard. Damhuis takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Carroll avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Damhuis. Carroll keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Damhuis missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Damhuis throws a strike but Carroll avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Damhuis throws a big elbow that misses. Damhuis loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Damhuis has gone for a leg lock! Carroll slips out almost immediately though and dives into Damhuis's guard. Carroll stopping the sweep attempt from Damhuis. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Damhuis trying to control the position.
Carroll is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andy Carroll dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Damhuis misses the shot to the body. Carroll tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Damhuis manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Damhuis drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Carroll defends it well. Carroll throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Damhuis thuds a left hand into Carroll's body. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Carroll, as that shot connected.
Carroll throws a quick inside leg kick. Carroll takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Carroll fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Carroll lands a nice shot to the body.
Damhuis throws a leg kick which misses Carroll's front leg but catches the back leg as Carroll tries to avoid it. A big right from Carroll misses. Carroll takes a swing at Damhuis's ribcage but misses. Damhuis looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Damhuis moves out of range of the strikes. Damhuis moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carroll throws a lazy uppercut
and Damhuis counters with a single leg into guard. Carroll didn't expect that. Carroll keeping moving, preventing Damhuis from controlling successfully. Damhuis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Carroll swivels though and keeps the full guard. Damhuis sitting in guard here, content to control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Damhuis throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Damhuis postures up in Carroll's guard and throws a big left but Carroll blocks it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Damhuis trying to control but Carroll is working from the bottom.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Andy Carroll seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Carroll misses with a low kick.
Damhuis now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Carroll pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Damhuis lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Damhuis looks to land a combination. Carroll sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Damhuis throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Carroll on the wrong end of a nice jab. Andy Carroll is winning the standup battle so far. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Carroll throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Damhuis sees it coming and avoids it easily. Carroll slips under a jab from Damhuis. Damhuis has a takedown stuffed.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carroll is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Carroll throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Damhuis counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Damhuis throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Carroll to regain full guard. Carroll is pulling down on Damhuis's head. It's preventing any offense from Damhuis, at least for the moment. Damhuis is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Carroll utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Damhuis is looking to work some ground and pound but Carroll has wrist control. Carroll is trying to hold Damhuis in close to prevent damage but Damhuis has managed to pass into half guard.
Damhuis seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Carroll wants to get back to full guard. Damhuis working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Carroll trying to get back to full guard but Damhuis takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Damhuis working away from the top, dropping strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Manolito Damhuis showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Damhuis swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Carroll throws a body shot but no joy. Damhuis slips under a jab from Carroll. Damhuis takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Carroll tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Damhuis paws at him with a jab and circles away. Carroll moves out of range as Damhuis strikes. A jab from Carroll finds it's way through Damhuis's defenses. Carroll throws a right hand that misses
and Damhuis counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Carroll! Damhuis fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Carroll takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Damhuis controlling the position from side mount. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Carroll manages to work his way to half guard, despite Damhuis's best efforts.
That's one minute gone in the round. Damhuis takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Carroll won't allow Damhuis to pass to mount. Damhuis wants to work for an arm triangle but Carroll is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Damhuis misses with a head shot. Carroll uses the momentum to regain guard. Carroll keeping moving, preventing Damhuis from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Carroll is looking to sweep but instead, Damhuis has passed into half guard.
Damhuis is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Damhuis wants to lay and pray for a moment but Carroll keeps working.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Damhuis not landing any meaningful shots this time. Damhuis seems to be working for a kimura but Carroll defends the submission attempt. Carroll on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Carroll wants to control but Damhuis is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Damhuis slips a nice elbow through Carroll's hands, connecting with Carroll's forehead. Damhuis throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Damhuis wants to lay and pray for a moment but Carroll keeps working.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Carroll misses with a shot to the body and Damhuis counters with a thumping low kick. Carroll misses with a low kick.
Carroll tries to clinch up. A big left from Damhuis misses. Carroll throws a hook to the side of Damhuis's head but Damhuis sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Damhuis misses with a looping left. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Carroll takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Damhuis lands a head shot. Damhuis swats away the attempt to clinch by Carroll.
And that's the end of the fight! Manolito Damhuis comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Damhuis has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
