The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manson tries to bum rush Smif with a series of wild strikes but Smif uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
The fighters circling - Manson throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
A big right from Smif misses.
Manson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Manson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Smif lands a jab.
Smif fails in his attempt to clinch.
Smif uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Manson.
Smif ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Manson moves away.
Smif misses with an uppercut. Manson saw that one coming.
Manson misses with a body shot.

Smif fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Manson, pushing him back against the cage.
Smif tries to stall but Manson uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Manson goes for a takedown in the clinch but Smif prevents it.
Manson has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Smif avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Smif wants to break the clinch but can't.

Smif's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Smif is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Manson.
Smif connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Manson momentarily.
Smif getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

Smif ducks under a wild hook from Manson.
