The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hyypia throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Rocket slips under a jab from Hyypia.
Rocket has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Rocket throws a hook but Hyypia avoids it easily.
Hyypia thows a body kick. Rocket tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Hyypia sends Rocket crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Hyypia is motioning to the referee to let Rocket up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Hyypia throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hyypia throws a half hearted mid kick.
Hyypia cracks Rocket on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Rocket falls backwards against the cage. Hyypia follows up with more strikes that drop Rocket to his knees. Hyypia keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Rocket! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sami Hyypia!
Sami Hyypia decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
