Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrey Arlovski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nikolai Kovalenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arlovski's entrance music is Ed Sheeran - Thinking Out Loud . A fine choice. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrey Arlovski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
60 - 39 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nikolai Kovalenko! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Sergei Dronov and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Arlovski throws a hook to the side of Kovalenko's head but Kovalenko sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Kovalenko throws a counter combo. Kovalenko on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Arlovski throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A nice leg kick lands there from Kovalenko. Kovalenko will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Arlovski was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Kovalenko lands with a nice combination. Arlovski backs away looking to recover. Arlovski connects with a looping right hand.

Andrey Arlovski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A decent looking cross lands there for Kovalenko.
That's one minute gone in the round. Arlovski misses with a straight left. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Kovalenko! But no joy. Kovalenko blocks a jab. Kovalenko is looking for the big counter here. Kovalenko slips under a jab from Arlovski. Kovalenko misses with a series of wild punches.
Arlovski is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Arlovski would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Kovalenko is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kovalenko has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Arlovski has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Arlovski manages to break the clinch.

Kovalenko looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Arlovski tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kovalenko was well out of range. Poor timing from Arlovski. Kovalenko tries to bum rush Arlovski with a series of wild strikes but Arlovski uses good footwork to avoid the assault. As Kovalenko looks to move away, Arlovski throws a big counter combo but Kovalenko just gets out of the way. Kovalenko bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Kovalenko has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Kovalenko there as he acknowledges the shot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Arlovski is looking to chop away at Kovalenko's legs. Kovalenko takes a shot right to the bread basket. Arlovski scores with a nice right hand.

Kovalenko is rocked! Kovalenko showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Arlovski.
Kovalenko is still on wobbly legs! Can Arlovski finish him? A combination from Kovalenko does no damage. Kovalenko seems to have recovered his senses. Arlovski looks to land a left hand but Kovalenko moved out of range nicely. Kovalenko is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Arlovski misses with a hook. Kovalenko ducked under it nicely. Despite the aggression on Kovalenko's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Arlovski closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Kovalenko out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Andrey Arlovski! Andrey Arlovski got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
