The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lacasse wants to clinch.
Lacasse tries to close the distance and clinch but Hughes swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Hughes forces Lacasse back against the cage and clinches.
Lacasse lands a nice knee to the body.

Hughes has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Lacasse clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hughes is trying to control but Lacasse is trying to escape here - he's now mounted.
