The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McAdams looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Pederson!

McAdams throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pederson's waist but Pederson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McAdams off to one side.

McAdams closes this distance looking for a takedown but Pederson circles away.
McAdams is breathing heavily.

It looks like Dayton McAdams has been cut.

Pederson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with McAdams, pushing him back against the cage.

Pederson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
McAdams shoots in for a takedown but Pederson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Clinched against the cage, Pederson lands a big elbow that drops McAdams! The ref dives in to save him from more shots - McAdams is complaining that he's OK but he was done.
