Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Estaban Gonzalez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Enzo Maldini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Enzo Maldini acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Estaban Gonzalez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Enzo Maldini!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Lou da Vinci and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A chopping leg kick lands by Maldini.

Maldini closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Gonzalez manages to get back to half guard.
Gonzalez is trying to control but can't.
Gonzalez slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Maldini tries to free his leg and advance position but Gonzalez is retaining full guard.
Gonzalez wants to sweep here but Maldini controlling him for the moment.
Maldini stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gonzalez swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gonzalez is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Maldini sees it coming and defends easily.

Maldini felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Gonzalez has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

A close round but Enzo Maldini will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Maldini stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Maldini wants it to stay on the feet.
It seemed like Maldini was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

That kick from Maldini tenderised Gonzalez's leg. Gonzalez is trying to keep his angry face on.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Gonzalez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Maldini tries to avoid it but Gonzalez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Maldini to the ground. Maldini escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

I would just about give that final round to Enzo Maldini.
I've got Maldini winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
