Coming up we have a lightweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Shoi Lin and Bjj Steel. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Shoi Lin! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Bjj Steel! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Steel decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Lin (0) vs (2) Steel Lin looking for submissions off his back. Lin trying to control but Steel postures up.
Lin is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Vicious Striking, so we'll see if he gets out of it. Steel trying to control the pace. Steel is thwarting Lin's attempts to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Steel perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Lin looking for submissions off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Steel is taking a breather. Lin says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Steel works his way into full mount! Score +3 for passing guard: Lin (0) vs (5) Steel Lin is trying to escape the mount.
Steel takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Steel moves to back control. Score +3 for taking back: Lin (0) vs (8) Steel Steel controls the position. Steel working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Lin is doing well to defend. Steel seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Lin is forced to tap and this one is over!
