Coming up we have a super heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Cael Schultz and Isaac Jackson. Jackson has chosen haiti as his entrance music. Cael Schultz had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Isaac Jackson! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yuuki Gou.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Jackson moves into the clinch. Schultz decides to pull guard. Jackson controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Schultz looking to control.
Jackson wants to control from the top but Schultz keeps moving. Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Schultz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Schultz has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Jackson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Schultz. Jackson wants to control from the top but Schultz keeps moving. Schultz looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Jackson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Jackson trying to control the position from guard on top but Schultz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Schultz is looking to control Jackson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Schultz avoid being mounted? The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Schultz wants to sweep but no luck. Jackson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Schultz's guard. Jackson is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. Schultz looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Jackson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Schultz is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jackson defends well. Jackson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Jackson wants to control from the top but Schultz keeps moving.
