Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
45 - 24 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roy Pitbull ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
31 - 23 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Radar Salter! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Paulo Santos and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fighters circling - Pitbull throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Pitbull throws a body punch but Salter moves out of range. Pitbull avoids the body shot from Salter.
An attempted straight right counter from Pitbull misses the target. Pitbull looks to land a combination but Salter avoids it well. Salter bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Pitbull misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Salter.
Salter uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Pitbull . A punch combination from Salter misses. Salter lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Salter throws a body shot but no joy. Salter feints a jab promting Pitbull to slip. Salter then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Pitbull slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Pitbull misses with an uppercut. Salter saw that one coming. Salter now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Pitbull just misses with a punch to the body.
A little jabbing left from Salter on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Salter waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Pitbull . Salter slips under a jab from Pitbull . Pitbull takes one on the chin but seems OK.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Salter lands the left hand. Pitbull looks to land a right hand but Salter moved out of range. Pitbull takes a swing at Salter's ribcage but misses. Salter waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Pitbull .
That's one minute gone in the round. Salter jabbing away but nothing is landing. Salter keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Pitbull . A looping hook to the body misses from Pitbull . Salter does a little dance to reset his feet. Salter displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Pitbull throws out the jab. Pitbull misses the shot to the body. Salter with a jab. A swing and a miss from Pitbull . Salter connects with a looping right hand.

Pitbull takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. A left lands for Salter. Pitbull gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A punch lands to the side of Pitbull 's head but he takes it in his stride. Pitbull ducks under a wild hook from Salter. A little feinted left hand from Pitbull on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Salter jabs Pitbull to the body, keeping him at a distance. Pitbull throws a jab when Salter was well out of range. Pitbull misses with an uppercut

That's two minutes gone in the round. Nice straight punches there by Salter. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Salter. A big right from Pitbull misses. Salter scores with a nice strike. Salter keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

and Salter counters with a nice uppercut. Pitbull on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Salter scores with a punch to the head. Salter connects with a jab. Salter blocks a jab. Salter cracks Pitbull with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Salter thuds a left hand into Pitbull 's body. Pitbull just misses with a punch to the body.
Nice cross by Salter. Pitbull throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Pitbull tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Salter is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Pitbull had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Salter uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pitbull .

That's three minutes gone in the round. Pitbull ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Salter moves away. Salter fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Salter lands a really nice looking cross but Pitbull seems unphased.

Salter lands a glancing blow to the side of Pitbull 's head. Salter staying out of range there. Salter throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Pitbull on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Pitbull swings for the body but Salter moves out of range.
Donk. Salter catches Pitbull right on the button with a cross. Pitbull throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Salter throws out a counter right but Pitbull avoids it with no problem. Nice uppercut lands for Salter. That snapped Pitbull 's head back.
Salter darts in and out, connecting with a jab. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Salter comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Salter cracks Pitbull with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Salter scores with a leg kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Salter lands a jab. Radar Salter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Good standup being displayed there by Salter as he connects with a hook. Pitbull takes one on the button. Pitbull takes one to the side of the head.

Salter feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Pitbull s jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A big left from Pitbull misses. Salter comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Pitbull takes a body punch but keeps moving. Pitbull looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Salter lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Salter scores with a jab to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Radar Salter dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Pitbull might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far. Salter fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Salter has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Salter connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Pitbull momentarily.
Salter is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Pitbull . Pitbull was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Salter uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Pitbull . Salter scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Salter digs a good hook to Pitbull 's body.
Pitbull looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Salter uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pitbull .
Salter pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Pitbull back to the cage. Salter follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Pitbull is rocked! Radar Salter seems to be getting the better of the standup. Salter moves into range and connects with a jab. Oh Pitbull is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Salter drops Pitbull with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Pitbull ! Salter dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
