Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Aure (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grayson Nearns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aure comes to the cage accompanied by Can't be touch-Roy Jones. Grayson Nearns is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ivan Aure! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Grayson Nearns! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Daniel Franklin and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nearns's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Nearns duly obliges. Nearns lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Grayson Nearns seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Aure shoots in but no luck this time. No joy there for Nearns, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Nearns looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Nearns takes the fight into the clinch. Aure is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Nearns is defending well. Nearns manages to break the clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Aure looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Nearns jabs at Aure's body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nearns is looking to chop away at Aure's legs. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Aure is defended easily by Nearns. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ivan Aure. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aure shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Nearns clinches up against the cage. Aure has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Nearns after a bit of a struggle. Nearns tightens his grip and picks Aure up, before dumping him to the ground. Aure manages to land in guard. Nearns is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Aure escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nearns gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Nearns must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Nearns trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Nearns trying to control but Aure is working from the bottom. Nearns wants to pass the guard but Aure is keeping the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nearns slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Aure will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Nearns is in close to Aure's body, working some short punches and elbows. Aure is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Nearns defends well. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Aure looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Nearns is defending well. Aure quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Nearns has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Aure celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Ivan Aure! After winning the bout, Ivan Aure thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
