Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gunter Vogler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bas Dekkers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vogler comes to the cage accompanied by Durchblick - Mach Dich Locker. The crowd seem to be enjoying Dekkers's choice of entrance music: Shells - Get your roll on. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
22 - 10 - 1, fighting out of New York, Gunter Vogler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
20 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Bas Dekkers!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dekkers tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Vogler paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Bas Dekkers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vogler blocks a head kick by Dekkers.
Vogler was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
A lazy body kick from Dekkers
and Vogler counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Dekkers got a little sloppy there for a moment and Vogler has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dekkers has managed to get both his arms back between Vogler's legs - danger averted.
Vogler manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dekkers manages to get himself to full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

That was a close round but I would say that Gunter Vogler will probably get the nod.

Vogler stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

and Dekkers counters with a nice low kick that buckles Vogler's knee momentarily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Vogler was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dekkers wants to improve his position but Vogler is controlling well.
Vogler frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Vogler prevents Dekkers from getting the reversal.

Vogler throws his legs up looking for a submission but Dekkers uses it to pass to side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vogler wants to control but Dekkers postures up.
Dekkers is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Vogler's shoulder. That is not cool.
Dekkers wants to lay and pray for a moment but Vogler keeps working.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Gunter Vogler.
I think Vogler has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
