Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Edson Gomes and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perez throws a combination that misses
so Gracie counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Perez managing to control the position.
Perez tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Gracie working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Perez's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gracie throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Perez works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Gracie trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Perez wants to sweep here but Gracie controlling him for the moment.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gracie thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Perez wants to stand and escape but Gracie is having none of it.
Perez is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Gracie is aware though and is defending well.
Gracie postures up in Perez's guard and throws a big left but Perez blocks it.

Gracie makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Gracie pushing down on Perez's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Perez trying to hold on to Gracie's head to control him but Gracie postures up.
Perez is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Gracie has latched onto it... Big trouble! Gracie pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Perez is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Gracie!
