Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hugh Heath (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Menace Blaze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hugh Heath!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Menace Blaze!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Blaze looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Heath!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Blaze creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Heath is trying to get back to half guard.
Heath regains half guard.
Heath might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Heath is looking for a sweep. Blaze is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Blaze wants to control but Heath is keeping him busy.
Heath really is a fat lump.
Blaze blocks the strikes from Heath.

Heath is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Blaze pulls his head out easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Heath wants to get back to full guard.
It looks like Blaze is going to stand back up.

Let's hope that Blaze has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Blaze wants to work for an arm triangle but Heath is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Heath is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Blaze scores with a couple of nice shots.
Heath is looking for a sweep. Blaze is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Heath is working hard here to advance position.
Blaze content to control rather than advance.

Blaze is pressing down on Heath's thigh, looking to free his foot. Heath is holding on for now.

Heath is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Blaze pulls his head out easily.
Blaze lands with a punch from half guard.
Heath gets back to full guard.
Heath looking to hit a scissor sweep but Blaze is one step ahead there.
Blaze must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Heath is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Blaze trying to control the position from guard on top but Heath is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Blaze pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Heath is keeping the position for now.
Blaze lands a couple of elbows.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Heath punching from the bottom.
Heath wants to sweep here but Blaze controlling him for the moment.
Blaze stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Heath swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Heath looking for a guillotine here but Blaze defends easily.
Heath tries to land a sweep but no joy.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Blaze trying to control but Heath is working from the bottom.
Blaze's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Heath trying to strike off his back.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Heath gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Blaze drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Blaze jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Blaze looks winded!
Blaze is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Heath is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Blaze trying to control from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Menace Blaze dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!



Heath gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Blaze manages to pull guard.
Blaze working a defensive guard here.

Heath drops back, looking for a kneebar! Blaze looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Blaze looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Blaze!

Blaze working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Blaze has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Blaze tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Blaze has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Heath is looking to regain half guard here but Blaze keeps moving and retains side control.
Heath sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Blaze wants to lay and pray for a moment but Heath keeps working.
Blaze is looking to advance position but Heath won't allow it.
Heath gets back to full guard.

Heath has an active guard here but Blaze has managed to pass into half guard.
Heath manages to get to full guard.

Blaze's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Heath looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Blaze passes into half guard.
Heath is refusing to be controlled, as Blaze sits in half guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Heath flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Blaze is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Heath sees it coming and defends easily.
Blaze looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Heath with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Blaze is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Heath is just riding it out for now. Blaze eventually gives up the hold.
Heath tries to get to full guard but Blaze has control of the leg.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Blaze. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Heath is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Blaze pulls his head out easily.
Blaze is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Menace Blaze showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Blaze scores with a head kick. Heath tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Heath throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Heath tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Blaze is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Heath manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Blaze manages to get himself to full guard.

Blaze pulls Heath in close to his closed guard and prevents Heath from doing any damage or advancing position.
Blaze is trying to keep Heath in close.
Heath scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Blaze is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Heath is aware though and is defending well.

Blaze is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Blaze manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Blaze closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Heath's guard.

Blaze is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Heath postures up in Blaze's guard and throws a big left but Blaze blocks it.

Heath stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Blaze tries to keep at a distance but Heath has taken the fight into the clinch.

Heath escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hugh Heath has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Menace Blaze is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Blaze shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

And that's the end of the fight!
Menace Blaze comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Blaze winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
