Wang Jr throws a looping overhand right but Gracie Slaughter ducks down to avoid it.

Gracie Slaughter working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Wang Jr turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Gracie Slaughter off and cradles Wang Jr's limp body as Gracie Slaughter celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Renilio Gracie Slaughter!
In defeat, James Wang Jr stepped up to the mic, saying 'He's got lucky'.
