Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hughtavious Mingo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Ruden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hughtavious Mingo had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hughtavious Mingo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
22 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Joe Ruden! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Andrew Berry and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A shot to the liver by Ruden. Beautiful body shot. Mingo takes a swing at Ruden's ribcage but misses. Mingo throws a jab when Ruden was well out of range. Mingo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ruden was well out of range. Poor timing from Mingo. Mingo thuds his right hand into Ruden's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
It looks like Joe Ruden has been cut. Mingo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Mingo connects with a leg kick. Ruden looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Ruden lands with a thumping leg kick.
Mingo uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Ruden throws a front kick that sends Mingo stumbling back into the cage. Ruden throws a shot to the body.
Mingo has been working on his boxing with his coaches at World Combat Sports Academy in the buildup to the fight. Ruden misses with a straight right. Ruden throws an off balance right hand
and Mingo counters with a straight right hand. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ruden blocks a jab. Ruden scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Mingo is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Ruden off and has taken his back! You can see the frustration on Ruden's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
That's one minute gone in the round. A lull in the action here.
Ruden rolls, trying to escape but Mingo keeps control of the position.
Mingo is not going to allow Ruden to sit and survive in this position. Mingo is landing with strikes. Ruden can't take much more of this. Ruden is in bad spot here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ruden is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Mingo trying to control. Mingo has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Ruden. Mingo misses with punches from the back. Ruden is taking damage to the body and head. Ruden tries to escape the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ruden covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Mingo has the hooks in. Ruden is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Mingo wants to control but Ruden is keeping busy. Ruden avoids the strikes from Mingo. Mingo punches Ruden on the ear. Mingo is working the ground and pound. Can Ruden escape? Mingo is hanging on to Ruden's back as he tries to escape.
Mingo punishes Ruden with strikes from the back mount.
That has opened up Joe Ruden's cut even more. Ruden takes a big shot to the side of the head.
Mingo wants to control but Ruden is keeping busy. Mingo working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Ruden is doing well to defend. Mingo seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Ruden is forced to tap and this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Hughtavious Mingo! In his post fight interview, Hughtavious Mingo started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
