0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Matt Wilkins Jnr! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, William Gold and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Moseby misses with the combination.
Moseby moves out of range of the strikes. Moseby throws a right and a left that both miss. Wilkins Jnr scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Moseby is trying to get back to half guard. Wilkins Jnr lands some shots froms side control. Moseby is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Wilkins Jnr scores with a couple of short elbows. Moseby is trying to get back to half guard. Wilkins Jnr in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Moseby taking punishment in the form of punches.
Wilkins Jnr scoring with punches and elbows. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Wilkins Jnr working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Moseby tries to get back to half guard but can't. Wilkins Jnr working the ground and pound. Moseby is not in a great position here, taking some shots. That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Wilkins Jnr slips a nice elbow through Moseby's hands, connecting with Moseby's forehead. Moseby works his way to full guard. Good work. Moseby keeping moving, preventing Wilkins Jnr from controlling successfully. Moseby is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Wilkins Jnr postures up in Moseby's guard and throws a big left but Moseby blocks it. Wilkins Jnr throwing strikes from guard but Moseby blocks nicely. Wilkins Jnr has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Moseby wants to stand up but Wilkins Jnr is controlling him. Moseby trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Moseby throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Wilkins Jnr fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Moseby manages to avoid it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Moseby throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Moseby looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Ted Moseby is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Left hook, right uppercut from Moseby. Moseby dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Moseby scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Moseby lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Moseby looks to land a combination. Wilkins Jnr sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Moseby tries to bum rush Wilkins Jnr with a series of wild strikes but Wilkins Jnr uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Moseby throws a good cross that connects.
Wilkins Jnr takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Wilkins Jnr is rocked! Moseby fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Wilkins Jnr is still on wobbly legs! Can Moseby finish him? Wilkins Jnr walks straight into a right hand from Moseby - that's dropped him! Moseby jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Wilkins Jnr from any more punishment! Wilkins Jnr complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
