The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moretti tries to clinch up but Carthew circles away and keeps his distance.

Carthew shoots in and gets a takedown into Moretti's guard.
Moretti looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Carthew puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Carthew not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Moretti is trying to control but can't.
Moretti keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Moretti is looking for a sweep. Carthew is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Moretti keeps trying to improve his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Carthew lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Moretti really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carthew. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Moretti is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Carthew wants to finish this one by submission but Moretti is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Carthew.
Carthew has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Moretti is wriggling around trying to escape.

A big strike lands for Carthew! That's really hurt Moretti and he's turned his back - Carthew keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Carthew jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
