Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Locke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronald Reagan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Locke comes into the arena with What Makes a Good Man blaring out of the sound system. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Locke! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ronald Reagan! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Mauricio Rocha and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Locke avoids the body shot from Reagan.
Reagan scores with a body shot.
Locke throws a looping overhand right but Reagan ducks down to avoid it. Reagan looks to throw the jab but Locke is out of range. A quick step to the side and Locke tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Reagan connects with a body shot. Ronald Reagan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Locke scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Nice body punch from Reagan. Reagan uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Locke.

Reagan throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Locke is looking to slow Reagan down with leg kicks. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Locke takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
That's one minute gone in the round. Locke ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Reagan just misses with a punch to the body.
Locke is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Reagan. Reagan is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Locke rather than just go for the knockout. Reagan checks the leg kick nicely there.
Nice shot lands for Locke. Locke stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Locke wants it to stay on the feet. Locke uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Reagan.
Locke is looking to counter punch. Reagan jabbing away but nothing is landing. Reagan stalks Locke and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Locke's face. Locke staggers backwards, shaken. John Locke is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Locke gets caught flat footed, as Reagan shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Reagan seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Locke keeping moving, preventing Reagan from controlling successfully. Reagan looking to pass the guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Reagan wants to control from the top but Locke keeps moving. Locke keeping full guard, as Reagan tries to pass. Locke looking for a sweep. Not yet Locke, not yet. Reagan trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Reagan drops back, looking for a kneebar! Locke looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Locke looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Locke!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Reagan tries to improve position but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reagan is still trying to improve position. Reagan is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Locke off and has taken his back! Locke trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Reagan looking for the RNC. Reagan trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Locke rolls, trying to escape but Reagan keeps control of the position.
Reagan is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Locke has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Locke turns into Reagan and is now in his guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Reagan had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Locke defends it easily. Reagan looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Reagan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Reagan throws a right hand that misses
and Locke cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Reagan has been the more effective fighter overall so far. A chopping leg kick lands by Locke. Locke does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Locke fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Reagan misses with a right hand and Locke counters with an inside leg kick. Locke instigates a clinch. Reagan drops down looking for an ankle pick but Locke pulls his leg out and moves away.
Locke takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. A jab from Reagan misses. Ronald Reagan seems to be getting the better of the standup. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A big left from Locke misses. Reagan thows a left - swing and a miss! Reagan misses with a wild body shot. Locke lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Reagan throws a jab but it's blocked by Locke. Reagan lands with an overhand left. Locke connects with a crisp jab. Locke cracks the inside of Reagan's front leg. Locke misses with a looping right. Reagan lands a nice hook to Locke's body. Locke takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Reagan misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Locke uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Reagan.
Locke throws the kick towards the body but Reagan avoids it. Locke throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Reagan getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Locke misses with an uppercut. Nice straight punches there by Reagan. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Reagan.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A clash of legs there as Reagan blocks the low kick. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Reagan checks a leg kick. Reagan throws a nice looking combination but Locke bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Reagan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Locke was well out of range. Poor timing from Reagan. Locke takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Locke takes a body punch but keeps moving. Reagan fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Locke looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Locke moves into the clinch. Reagan has Locke pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Locke manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. John Locke has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ronald Reagan. Locke prevents a takedown attempt there.

Reagan's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Reagan is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Locke pulls him back up using the underhooks. Locke lands with a right to the head. Locke makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Locke lands a left hand that snaps the head of Reagan backwards. Reagan is trying to pull guard but Locke turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Locke lands a shoulder strike. Locke lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Locke lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Reagan softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Reagan has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Locke avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Reagan is breathing heavily. Reagan drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

A short uppercut from Locke. Reagan has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Locke seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Reagan can turn it around. Nice body punch from Locke. Reagan lands with a right hand. Locke stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Reagan misses with a body shot.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Locke gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Sloppy strikes from Locke. Those never looked like landing. Reagan jabbing away but nothing is landing. Reagan lands a nice hook to Locke's body. Locke takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Reagan gets tackled into the cage by Locke. Locke maintains the clinch. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Reagan drops down looking for an ankle pick but Locke pulls his leg out and moves away.

Reagan changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Reagan takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Reagan takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Locke takes the fight into the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Locke. A short right from Locke. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Reagan fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Reagan drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Locke gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Locke lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Locke throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Locke lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Reagan jumps guard but Locke stands there with Reagan around his waist. Reagan gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Locke is defending well against a takedown attempt. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Locke creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Reagan is rocked! An uppercut to the body lands inside from Locke. Reagan is still on wobbly legs! Can Locke finish him? An uppercut to the body lands inside from Locke. Reagan seems to have recovered his senses. Locke pushes Reagan back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Locke stalls. Locke working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
And that's the end of the fight! John Locke showed his dominance in that final round. I think Locke has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
