Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Phil Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlie Zelenoff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Charlie Zelenoff!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brooks tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Brooks takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Zelenoff throws a quick inside leg kick.
A jab from Zelenoff does it's job there.
Brooks takes one on the button.

Zelenoff lands with a slapping head kick.
Zelenoff misses with a kick to the body
and Brooks counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Zelenoff!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Brooks is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Zelenoff will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Brooks is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Zelenoff knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Brooks controlling from side mount.

Brooks decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Zelenoff tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Brooks is looking to counter the offense by Zelenoff and move into the clinch.
Nice body kick from Zelenoff.
Zelenoff lands a head kick. Brooks smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
The fight stays on the outside here - Brooks looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A solid leg kick lands there for Zelenoff.
Brooks closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Zelenoff's guard.

Brooks tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Brooks has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Brooks has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Zelenoff looks winded!
Zelenoff fakes the leg kick and cracks Brooks in the body.
Zelenoff misses with a head kick.
Brooks tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Zelenoff sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Brooks shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Zelenoff is trying to defend but Brooks finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Zelenoff really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brooks. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Brooks perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Brooks stands up out of the half guard.
Brooks punishes Zelenoff's body with a nice straight punch.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Brooks misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Brooks closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Brooks is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Brooks is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Zelenoff is forced to tap! Great finish!
