Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kurt Kendall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vaios Bartzokas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kendall kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is I Go To Work. Bartzokas has chosen AC/DC - Whiskey on the rocks as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kurt Kendall! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vaios Bartzokas! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Reed Andrews and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bartzokas throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Kendall. Bartzokas can't do much from the bottom here. Kendall decides to stand back up. Kendall steps back and let's Bartzokas get back to his feet. Kendall circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kendall looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Kendall throws a body punch but Bartzokas moves out of range. Bartzokas doesn't succeed with the takedown enabling Kendall to counter with a crisp jab. Kendall circles away from the clinch attempt and Kendall counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. A head kick by Bartzokas misses and Kendall moves into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kendall breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kendall shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bartzokas's guard. Kendall postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Kendall stopping the sweep attempt from Bartzokas. Kendall trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Kendall passes Bartzokas's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Kendall seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Bartzokas keeping hold of Kendall's head, controlling as best he can. Bartzokas pushes Kendall off looking to stand but Kendall dives back in and keeps control.
Kendall wants to control but Bartzokas is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kendall tries to pass to full mount but Bartzokas defends it. Kendall wants to take a breather but Bartzokas is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kendall drops an elbow to the side of Bartzokas's head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bartzokas tries to roll over but Kendall keeps him under control. Bartzokas looks gassed!
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Bartzokas tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Kendall holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Kendall taking a breather. Kendall pulls Bartzokas into guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kendall has control of Bartzokas's left arm, preventing Bartzokas from doing any damage. Bartzokas would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Bartzokas is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Kendall pulls Bartzokas in close to prevent any damage. Kendall tries to land a sweep but no joy. Kendall lands a decent shot there. Kendall bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bartzokas's guard. Kendall tries to stand but Bartzokas is controlling from the bottom. Kendall decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Bartzokas, up you get!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kendall shoots for a double leg takedown but Bartzokas sprawls well. He's pushed Kendall's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Kendall looks to land a body kick but Bartzokas moved away. Kendall throws a series of punches but Bartzokas moves out of range. Bartzokas with a lazy takedown attempt and Kendall moves into the clinch. Kendall has had enough of the clinch but Bartzokas keeps him there for the moment. Bartzokas is pressed up against the cage. Kendall has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bartzokas down to the mat. Bartzokas avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kurt Kendall. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kendall turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Kendall throws a head kick that misses and Bartzokas decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kendall's guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bartzokas controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Kendall pulls Bartzokas in close to prevent any damage. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bartzokas gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kurt Kendall dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Kendall shoots in for a double leg but Bartzokas sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Bartzokas shoots and misses and Kendall counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Bartzokas! Bartzokas tries to get back to half guard but can't. Kurt Kendall overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Kendall is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Bartzokas has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Kendall throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Kendall controlling his opponent. Bartzokas really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Bartzokas is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bartzokas is squirming around, avoiding Kendall's attempts to control the action. Kendall working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Kendall sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Kendall lands a heavy elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Bartzokas can't escape the position.
Bartzokas is squirming around, avoiding Kendall's attempts to control the action. Kendall is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Bartzokas can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Kendall cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Bartzokas is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Kendall with the ground and pound from mount. Kendall postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Bartzokas looks a forlorn figure.
Kendall avoids the attempt from Bartzokas to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kendall controlling the pace for now. Kendall can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bartzokas is looking to escape. Kendall landing punches. Kendall looking to control and managing it successfully. Kendall looking for a guillotine from mount but Bartzokas is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Bartzokas tries to get back to half guard but can't. Kendall looking to control but Bartzokas is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Kendall lands a nice shot to the head. Bartzokas manages to regain half guard. Good work. Kendall uses his free foot to push down on Bartzokas's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Bartzokas. Kendall is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Bartzokas can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kurt Kendall dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Kendall shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Bartzokas is squirming around, avoiding Kendall's attempts to control the action. You get the feeling that Bartzokas really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Kendall controlling his opponent. Bartzokas is trying to reverse the position but instead Kendall has taken his back - oops! Bartzokas wants to escape the position.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Kendall controlling the positon. Bartzokas looking very determined here, making life difficult for Kendall.
Bartzokas takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kendall throwing sloppy strikes. Bartzokas has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Kendall. Kendall is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Bartzokas is defending well though. Kendall let's go of the attempt for now. Kendall tightening his grip on Bartzokas, looking for the choke. Bartzokas tries to escape but Kendall has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Bartzokas just trying to survive but Kendall is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Kendall has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Bartzokas trying to control the action but Kendall just sinks the hooks in. Kendall is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kendall is looking to control Bartzokas but Bartzokas is wriggling around and keeping busy. Kendall is looking to finish with some ground and pound! Good control from Kendall. Kendall is working the ground and pound. Can Bartzokas escape? Kendall just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Bartzokas covering up well and avoiding damage. Bartzokas trying to control the hands but Kendall breaks the grip.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Bartzokas is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Kendall gets his way!
Kendall is not going to allow Bartzokas to sit and survive in this position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Bartzokas is keeping busy.
Vaios Bartzokas has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kurt Kendall is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Kendall tightening his grip on Bartzokas, looking for the choke.
And that's the end of the fight! Kurt Kendall showed his dominance in that final round. Well Kendall has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
