Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ramses Kolmas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Dantes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
21 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ramses Kolmas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
31 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marcus Dantes! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dantes tries to clinch there but Kolmas circles away.
Dantes changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kolmas tries to avoid it but Dantes manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kolmas to the ground. Kolmas escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Dantes looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Dantes with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Kolmas is trying to get back to full guard. Kolmas is working hard here to advance position. Kolmas has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kolmas is looking to control Dantes's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kolmas avoid being mounted? Dantes is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Kolmas has managed to free his arm - good work.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Kolmas had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dantes defends it easily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dantes trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Kolmas lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Kolmas makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Kolmas with a flurry of punches that miss. Dantes throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kolmas is in close to Dantes's body, working some short punches and elbows. Kolmas prevents Dantes from getting back to his feet. Dantes pulls Kolmas in close to his closed guard and prevents Kolmas from doing any damage or advancing position. Dantes trying to keep a closed guard but Kolmas is proving a slippery customer.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Kolmas is working Dantes over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Dantes manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kolmas manages to get himself to full guard.
Dantes postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Dantes trying to control the position from guard on top but Kolmas is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kolmas looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kolmas wants to sweep here but Dantes controlling him for the moment. Dantes wants to control from the top but Kolmas keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Ramses Kolmas will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Kolmas landing with the ground and pound. Dantes is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Dantes working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kolmas. Kolmas prevents Dantes from getting back to his feet. Dantes cracks a nice hook into Kolmas's ribs. Kolmas shoots in but Dantes avoids the takedown attempt easily. Kolmas shoots in for a double leg but Dantes sprawls well. Dantes feints and then cracks Kolmas's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kolmas down.

Kolmas got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dantes has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kolmas has managed to get both his arms back between Dantes's legs - danger averted. Kolmas is working Dantes over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Kolmas drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Dantes dives on top into guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Dantes throws a wild body kick that Kolmas sees coming a mile off. Kolmas appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Kolmas is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Dantes can do to turn this around? Kolmas displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Dantes. Ramses Kolmas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcus Dantes. Kolmas scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Dantes fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kolmas sprawls well initially but Dantes persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Kolmas is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Kolmas has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kolmas is concentrating on defense, preventing Dantes from advancing position. Kolmas looking for submissions off his back. Kolmas has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dantes is working away from the top position though. Kolmas moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Kolmas bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dantes's guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Dantes wants to get back to his feet but Kolmas is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ramses Kolmas. Well Kolmas has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
