Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Plutov digs a good hook to Will's body.
Plutov throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
As Plutov backs away, Will returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Plutov throws a series of punches but Will moves out of range.
Will appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Plutov throws a quick inside leg kick.
Plutov rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Will moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Plutov throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Will thinks about countering with a head kick.

Wasyl Plutov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

As Plutov backs away, Will returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

Will went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Plutov is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Will is defending well for now.
Plutov pushes off an throws an elbow but Will leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the ropes.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

I was talking to Will's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Plutov fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Will has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

As Plutov looks to move away, Will throws a big counter combo but Plutov just gets out of the way.

and before Plutov can reset, Will rushes him with a swarm of punches, sending him crashing to the floor, in all sorts of trouble! Plutov is trying to beat the count but we're up to 6 already and he's nowhere near. 7,8... he's up! He's going to continue!

Will throws a big counter combination but Plutov scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

and Will counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Plutov thinking.
Plutov is breathing heavily.
Plutov throws a right and a left that Will avoids nicely.
Plutov pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Plutov turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Plutov throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Plutov swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Will counters with a perfectly timed counter left hook that drops Plutov to the mat, face first! Will goes to the neutral corner and waits for the referee to start the count. Plutov is back to hise feet already though and looking to continue the bout! Exciting stuff!
It looks like Wasyl Plutov has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Will counters with a right hand that wobbles Plutov! He's out on his feet! Will follows up with a left hook and a final right hand that knocks Plutov out cold! No need for a referee count here - this fight is all over! Will jumps onto the ropes to celebrate with his corner.
