The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Deeds moves into the clinch successfully.
Deeds wants the takedown. Steel Penn is fighting it off but Deeds persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Steel Penn's guard against the cage. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Deeds (2) vs (0) Steel Penn Steel Penn keeping moving, preventing Deeds from controlling successfully. Deeds looking to pass the guard. Steel Penn is looking to cinch up a triangle. Deeds throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Steel Penn's body to avoid the submission. Steel Penn has instead reached around Deeds's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Steel Penn arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
