Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jones Morris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Russel Bell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jones Morris! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Russel Bell! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Winston Howard and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bell bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Bell slows the pace down. Morris is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Bell off and has taken his back! A lull in the action here.
Bell has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. Bell looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Morris is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Bell knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Bell for a finish. Morris has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Bell tries to escape but Morris has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
That's one minute gone in the round. Morris looking to break Bell's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Bell remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Morris will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Morris not allowing Bell to control his hands. Bell tries to escape but Morris has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Bell breaks Morris's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Bell avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Bell is stalling in the full guard. Bell wants to control from the top but Morris keeps moving. Morris is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Morris has his foot on Bell's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bell works his way back into a safe position though. Morris is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Morris keeping full guard, as Bell tries to pass. Bell controls from within his opponent's guard. Bell trying to stand up but can't free himself from Morris's guard. Bell is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Bell advances to half guard. Morris makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Morris. Morris wants to sweep here but Bell controlling him for the moment. Morris keeping moving, preventing Bell from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bell controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Bell really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Morris. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Bell avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Bell looking to pass the guard. Morris can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Bell controls the pace. Bell is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Bell trying to stand up but can't free himself from Morris's guard. Bell controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Despite being in the dominant position, Russel Bell just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Bell shoots in but Morris avoids the takedown attempt easily. Nice takedown defense from Morris. No joy for Bell on that attempt. Morris pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Bell gets the takedown into side control. Bell trying to control the position but Morris is working away. Bell remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Bell wants to control but Morris is keeping him busy. Bell slows the pace down. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jones Morris will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Bell shoots in but no luck this time. Bell misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Bell closes the distance and clinches up with Morris, looking for a takedown. Bell pushes Morris against the cage but Morris circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Jones Morris has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Russel Bell. Nice takedown defense from Morris. No joy for Bell on that attempt. Bell has a takedown stuffed. Bell looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Morris is fending him off so far but Bell persists. Nope, Morris circles away and we're back to standing. Jones Morris is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Bell takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Morris shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Morris pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Bell scores with a takedown into Morris's guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Morris had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Bell is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Morris Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Bell's back instead.
That's one minute gone in the round. Morris keeps control of the position as Bell tries to break free.
Morris gets his hands free as Bell looks to control. Morris looking for the choke but no joy. Bell trying to control the hands but Morris breaks the grip. Bell biding his time here by controlling the hands, looking to escape. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Morris sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Bell taps out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:02 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jones Morris!
