The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Nice sprawl there from Nieminen as Steel Penn shoots in. Excellent takedown into side control there by Nieminen. Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Nieminen (4) vs (0) Steel Penn Nieminen tries to advance to mount but can't. Nieminen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Steel Penn is not content to let Nieminen control the position. Nieminen looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Steel Penn wants to control but Nieminen postures up.

Steel Penn doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Steel Penn manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Steel Penn trying to control the position from guard on top but Nieminen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Nieminen has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Steel Penn has passed into side control.

Nieminen defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Steel Penn's arms. Steel Penn is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Steel Penn is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Nieminen with him. Nieminen is trying to defend but Steel Penn has an arm under the chin now! Nieminen grimaces and is forced to tap out!
