Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ari Ahikaroa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ethan Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ethan Brown acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ethan Brown!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Saam Ante and Paul Aken.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ahikaroa walks into a stiff left hand from Brown.

Ahikaroa clinches.
Ahikaroa drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Brown is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Ahikaroa is defending well.
Brown blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Brown pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Ahikaroa pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Brown closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Ahikaroa to the mat! Ahikaroa manages to get full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ahikaroa working for a triangle but Brown defends it easily.
Ahikaroa is pulling down on Brown's head to control his posture.
Ahikaroa looking to hit a scissor sweep but Brown is one step ahead there.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Ahikaroa doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Ahikaroa drops Brown with a beautiful combination! Brown stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Ahikaroa is looking for the KO!
Ahikaroa pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Brown is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Ahikaroa drives through and clinches with Brown against the cage.
Ahikaroa tries to land knees in the clinch but Brown avoids the damage to the body.
Brown throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Ahikaroa blocks it with crossed arms.

Ahikaroa ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Ahikaroa no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Ahikaroa on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ahikaroa tries to get out of the position.

Brown is fighting to break Ahikaroa's control of his arms but Ahikaroa is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Brown stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ahikaroa swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Brown takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Ahikaroa shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Brown defends it nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Brown closes the distance and clinches up with Ahikaroa, looking for a takedown. Brown pushes Ahikaroa against the cage but Ahikaroa circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Brown shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ahikaroa as he avoids it easily.
Ari Ahikaroa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ethan Brown.

Brown scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Oooooh!!! Ahikaroa has knocked Brown down with a huge combo! Ahikaroa steps away and waves a wobbly Brown back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Brown is rocked!
Brown gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Ahikaroa points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Brown wakes up just in time to hear Ahikaroa thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
