Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maynor Luis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Viktor Mikhailov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Maynor Luis has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Maynor Luis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Viktor Mikhailov! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Saam Ante and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Luis tries for a takedown but Mikhailov circles away easily and Mikhailov counters with a nice double leg into guard. Mikhailov content to stall in guard here. Luis controls Mikhailov momentarily but Mikhailov frees himself. Mikhailov pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Luis is keeping the position for now. Luis is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mikhailov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Luis swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Luis not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Mikhailov seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Luis is looking to clinch but Mikhailov is avoiding it.
Mikhailov fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Luis to the ground. Mikhailov is now in Luis's guard. Mikhailov is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Mikhailov slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Mikhailov takes a little break here. Luis wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mikhailov cracks Luis with a big right hand but Luis just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Luis struggling a bit here. Luis is looking for a sweep. Luis manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mikhailov looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Luis trying to control the action but Mikhailov is working from the bottom.

Not this time though. Luis is looking for a kimura but Mikhailov is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Luis to get the leverage. Mikhailov trying to control here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Luis lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Mikhailov is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mikhailov can do anything to dispel that myth. Luis slows the pace down in half guard. Luis is thwarting Mikhailov's attempts to control the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mikhailov is pressing down on Luis's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Mikhailov has his hands on Luis's head, controlling the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Viktor Mikhailov dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Luis closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mikhailov circles away. Mikhailov closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Mikhailov lands in his opponent's guard. Luis is wriggling around but Mikhailov manages to pass to half guard.
Mikhailov has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Luis tries to get to full guard but Mikhailov has control of the leg. Mikhailov is figuring out what he wants to do next. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Luis trying to control from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round. Mikhailov is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Luis has managed to free his arm - good work. Mikhailov working the head and body with strikes. Luis is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Luis pushes Mikhailov off looking to stand but Mikhailov dives back in and keeps control.
Mikhailov is thwarting Luis's attempts to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Mikhailov not doing much here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mikhailov is continuing to stall.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Luis looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Luis fails with the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Maynor Luis. That's going to take a lot out of him. Luis fails with the takedown and Mikhailov moves into the clinch. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Mikhailov breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Luis has his takedown stuffed and Mikhailov counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Luis!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mikhailov is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Luis will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Luis is looking to regain half guard here but Mikhailov keeps moving and retains side control. Mikhailov lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Luis down.
Mikhailov has knee on belly and moves into mount. Mikhailov controlling the position easily from mount. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Viktor Mikhailov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Mikhailov is looking to land body kicks. Mikhailov moves into the clinch. Mikhailov tightens his grip and picks Luis up, before dumping him to the ground. Luis manages to land in guard. Luis looking to control but Mikhailov passes into half guard.

Mikhailov is pressing down on Luis's thigh, looking to free his foot. Luis is holding on for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mikhailov drops an elbow to the side of Luis's head. Mikhailov perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Mikhailov decides to stand and escape the position. Luis tries to clinch up. Luis misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Luis closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Mikhailov manages to get back to half guard. Mikhailov is looking to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Luis trying to mount his opponent but Mikhailov defends it. Mikhailov is holding on to half guard well. Mikhailov is looking for a sweep. Luis is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Mikhailov trying to control but Luis postures up.
Mikhailov controlling the position well. Mikhailov is trying to maintain the position but Luis is very close to passing his half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Luis is looking to take a break and control but Mikhailov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Mikhailov fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Luis, right into the meat.
Luis motions for Mikhailov to come forward. Luis throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. No luck for Luis with that takedown attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Luis looks to clinch and Mikhailov counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Luis! Luis throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! Mikhailov misses with a body kick. Luis is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Mikhailov. Mikhailov shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Luis defends it nicely. Maynor Luis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Mikhailov gets a double leg takedown into Luis's guard. Luis controls Mikhailov momentarily but Mikhailov frees himself.
And that's the end of the fight! Viktor Mikhailov comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Mikhailov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
