Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jose Correa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chad Murray ! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Daniel Bishop and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Correa throws a body punch but Murray moves out of range. Correa with a body punch. A glancing blow. Correa swings for the body but Murray moves out of range.
Jose Correa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Murray scores with a nice right hand.
Correa throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Murray counters with a thumping low kick. Correa throws a series of punches but Murray moves out of range. Correa avoids a kick to the body.
Murray tries to score with a low kick but Correa moves his leg out of the way. Murray keeps Correa at a distance using the push kick. Correa misses with a hook to the body
and Murray counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Murray tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Correa was well out of range. Poor timing from Murray . We've been told by Correa's head coaches at Ballshoi Ballet 3 that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Murray displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Correa throws out the jab. Correa moves into range and clinches up with Murray . Correa lands on the inside with an uppercut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A head punch blocked on the inside by Correa. Murray misses with a hook to the ribs.

That's one minute gone in the round. Correa is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Murray gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Correa misses with a hook from the clinch. Correa tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Murray 's elbow. Correa misses with a short punch on the inside. Correa misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Correa swings wildly with an uppercut but Murray uses good head movement to avoid it. Correa blocks an elbow strike. Murray scores with a nice hook to the head. Correa's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Correa fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

It looks like Jose Correa has been cut. Correa takes an elbow to the forehead. Murray working aggressively here.
Correa is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Murray pulls him back up using the underhooks. Correa tries a body shot but Murray blocks it.
Correa digs a right hand underneath Murray 's ribcage. Murray let out a lung full of air as it connected. A short body shot lands from Murray as the two fighters clinch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Murray misses with a punch on the inside.

enabling Murray to counter with a crisp jab. Murray gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Murray thuds a left hand into Correa's body. Correa throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A nice inside leg kick there by Murray . That's going to slow Correa down. Correa swinging wildly here.
Correa looks to score with a jab to the body but Murray is just out of range. Murray swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Correa misses with a body shot.
Nice shot lands for Correa. Correa loads up on a big right hand but Murray slips the punch. Correa fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Murray manages to avoid it. Correa scores with a jab to the body. Correa takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Correa ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Murray moves away. Correa avoids the body shot from Murray .
That's four minutes gone in the round. Good exchange - Correa coming out on top. Murray is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Correa. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Murray lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. A telegraphed right hand from Murray misses the target. Correa displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Murray throws out the jab. Murray changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Murray connects with a body shot that sends Correa's belly button to the back. Correa just misses with a punch to the body.
Murray is looking to land body kicks. Murray throws out a leg kick but Correa moves out of range and Murray only half commits. Murray blocks a jab. Murray scores with a sloppy right hand. Correa should have avoided that one. Murray throws out a loose jab but Correa uses good head movement to avoid it. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Murray moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chad Murray dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jose Correa's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Murray walks into a straight right hand from Correa. Murray takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Correa shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Correa moves forwards but Murray connects with a nice, crisp jab. Correa throws a sloppy body shot
and Correa takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Correa is rocked! Correa wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Oh Correa is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Murray misses the shot to the body. Correa seems to have got his legs back now. Correa swings widly with a right hand
and Murray counters with a leg kick. Murray feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Correa sprawling to the canvas! Correa rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Murray finish him?!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Murray throws an overhand right that drops Correa like a sack of potatoes! Murray dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chad Murray ! After winning the bout, Chad Murray thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
