Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Jere Henry! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Pat Hatton! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Steven Brown and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Henry scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Henry could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Hatton is looking to improve his position.
Hatton moves into full guard.

Hatton goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
It looks like Jere Henry has been cut. A momentary lapse in concentration from Henry enables Hatton to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Henry manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Henry can't keep his opponent in guard - Hatton advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. That's one minute gone in the round. Hatton slips a nice elbow through Henry's hands, connecting with Henry's forehead. Hatton takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Hatton slows the pace down in half guard. Hatton wants to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Hatton swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Henry is now in Hatton's guard. A big mistake from Hatton there, giving up the dominant position! Hatton is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Henry postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Hatton is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Henry is controlling him. Hatton utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Jere Henry overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Henry might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Henry throwing strikes from guard but Hatton blocks nicely. Hatton looking for a sweep. Not yet Hatton, not yet. Henry in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hatton can do anything to dispel that myth. Henry landing with the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hatton looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Henry accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Henry lands a couple of elbows.

Pat Hatton showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Jere Henry's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Jab, jab by Hatton - just one landing. Hatton shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Hatton seems to be working for a kimura but Henry defends the submission attempt. That's four minutes gone in the round. Hatton wants to work for an arm triangle but Henry is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Hatton stands up out of the half guard. Hatton digs a good body shot into Henry's ribs. Henry takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hatton shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Henry's guard. Hatton takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Hatton would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Pat Hatton comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Hatton has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
