Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hu Thot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Rondeau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hu Thot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Josh Rondeau!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Franklyn Lucas and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rondeau closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Thot makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Thot shoots in but no luck this time.
Thot dives in and grabs Rondeau's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rondeau pushes down on Thot's head and hops out.
Thot looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Thot shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Rondeau counters with a series of strikes. Thot will be more careful next time no doubt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hu Thot. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Thot misses with a takedown attempt
and Rondeau counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Rondeau manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Thot on his heels. He'll look to pass Thot's guard now, I'm sure.
Thot has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Rondeau off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Thot is breathing heavily.
Rondeau misses with a head kick.
Rondeau throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Thot drops down looking for a counter takedown but Rondeau sprawls and moves away.
Thot takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Thot fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Rondeau sprawls well initially but Thot persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rondeau is looking for a sweep. Thot is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Rondeau is trying to stand up here but Thot is controlling him well.
Thot is looking for a kimura here.
Thot is looking to advance position but Rondeau won't allow it.
Rondeau is trying is best to control the position here.
Thot stops Rondeau from getting back to his feet.
Thot lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Rondeau is trying to maintain the position but Thot is very close to passing his half guard.
Thot is looking for a kimura but Rondeau is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Thot to get the leverage.
Rondeau trying to control but Thot postures up.
Rondeau is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Thot is staying active.
Rondeau wants to improve his position but Thot is controlling well.
Rondeau won't allow Thot to pass to mount.
Thot thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Thot throws a poor cross that misses
and Rondeau counters with a straight right hand.
Thot dives in for a single leg takedown but Rondeau sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Thot feints and as Rondeau raises his hands in defense, Thot changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Thot tries to free his leg and advance position but Rondeau is retaining full guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Rondeau looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Rondeau looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Thot's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Thot passes Rondeau's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Thot prevents Rondeau from improving his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Thot is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rondeau is just riding it out for now. Thot eventually gives up the hold.
Thot working over Rondeau with some ground and pound. Rondeau looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Thot seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Thot has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Rondeau defend it? Thot steps over the head and cranks it - Rondeau is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Thot!
