Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jules Bryant! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sandro Franco! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Nard Betker and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Franco fails with a takedown attempt. Bryant misses with a takedown attempt - Franco sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Franco gets a double leg takedown into Bryant's guard. Bryant not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Franco stops Bryant from standing up. Bryant really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Franco drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Franco jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Bryant wants to stand up but Franco is controlling him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Franco with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Franco trying to control but Bryant is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Franco drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Bryant dives on top into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bryant throwing strikes but missing. Franco keeping moving, preventing Bryant from controlling successfully. Franco is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Bryant slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Bryant trying to control the position from guard on top but Franco is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Bryant is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Franco working for a triangle but Bryant defends it easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Franco dives in and scores a takedown into Bryant's guard. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Franco postures up and lands a big shot to Bryant's brow. Franco drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Bryant dives on top into guard. Franco is pulling down on Bryant's head to control his posture. Bryant showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Franco seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bryant trying to control the position from guard on top but Franco is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bryant is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Franco keeping moving, preventing Bryant from controlling successfully. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Franco controlling Bryant's posture. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Sandro Franco will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Bryant goes for a double leg but Franco avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Franco continues to drive forward. Franco changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bryant looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Franco fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Franco is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bryant knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Franco is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bryant is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Franco tries for a kimura but Bryant is defending well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Franco looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's one minute gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Bryant's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Franco tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Franco goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Bryant rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Franco's guard! Nice work there by Bryant! Bryant controlling from the top position. Sandro Franco has got the better of the ground game so far. Bryant wants to control from the top but Franco keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Franco is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Bryant trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Bryant not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Franco is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Bryant is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Bryant wants to control from the top but Franco keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Bryant doesn't manage to clinch there - Franco circles away.
Bryant displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Franco. Bryant looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Franco is fending him off so far but Bryant persists. Nope, Franco circles away and we're back to standing. Franco shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bryant napping and manages to drive through into side control! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Franco looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Franco connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Bryant some visible discomfort.
Bryant is trying to buck Franco off. Franco tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Franco has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Franco looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Franco working away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sandro Franco showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Franco seems to be working for a kimura but Bryant defends the submission attempt. Bryant is trying to control but can't.

Franco takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Bryant tries to kick Franco off but Franco keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Bryant is looking for a sweep. Franco is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Franco is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Franco missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Bryant wants to get back to his feet. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Bryant wants to control but Franco is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Bryant fails to land the takedown.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Bryant shoots in looking for a takedown. Franco tries to sprawl out of it but Bryant keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Franco manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jules Bryant. That's going to take a lot out of him. Franco changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bryant looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Franco wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bryant, who protects the arm well. Franco has been the more effective fighter overall so far. You can see the frustration on Bryant's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Franco grinds an elbow into Bryant's temple.
Bryant is rocked! Bryant struggling a bit here. Oh Bryant is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Franco cracks Bryant with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Franco immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Bryant is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Franco!
