Coming up we have a lightweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Tomas Marley and Ozzy McKane. The crowd seem to be enjoying McKane's choice of entrance music: SAIL - AWOLNATION. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 1 losses; Tomas Marley! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 2 losses; Ozzy McKane! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Radbod Blank and Albert Achterberg.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Marley drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Marley's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for McKane. McKane thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. McKane trying to control the position from guard on top but Marley is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Marley seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. McKane stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Marley swivels though and keeps the full guard. McKane is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Marley is trying to hold McKane in close to prevent damage but McKane has managed to pass into half guard.
