The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Xi Jia throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Chambers has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Xi Jia regains guard immediately.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Chambers connects with a nice short shot to Xi Jia's temple.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Chambers is nestled in close to Xi Jia, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Chambers shoots for a double leg takedown but Xi Jia sprawls well. He's pushed Chambers's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Xi Jia throws out a counter right but Chambers avoids it with no problem.

Chambers drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Xi Jia gets the underhooks and prevents it.
