The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burgess shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Gramicki defends it nicely.
Gramicki shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Gramicki fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Burgess to the ground. Gramicki is now in Burgess's guard.

Burgess manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Gramicki manages to get himself to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
