Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joe Joes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mack Loggia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joe Joes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mack Loggia! The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Darius Henderson and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Loggia tries to clinch but Joes is having none of it. Loggia slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Loggia has closed the distance and engaged Joes in a clinch.
Joes breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Joes displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Loggia. Joes moves into range and clinches up with Loggia. Loggia jumps guard but Joes stands there with Loggia around his waist. Loggia gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Joes tries a knee to the head but Loggia blocks it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Loggia is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Joes to keep the fight standing. Joe Joes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mack Loggia. Loggia goes for a takedown attempt but Joes pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Joes misses the shot to the body. Loggia circles away from the clinch attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Loggia. Joes is looking to counter the offense by Loggia and move into the clinch. Loggia shoots for a double leg takedown but Joes sprawls well. He's pushed Loggia's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Joes fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Joes takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Joes closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Loggia is trying to force a seperation but Joes has the dominant position. Joes is pressed up against the cage. Loggia has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Joes down to the mat. Joes avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Joes drives through and clinches with Loggia against the cage.
Joes can't get the takedown.
Loggia gets underhooks to prevent Joes's takedown attempt.
Joes stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Loggia tries to pull guard but Joes won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Joes jumps into guard, dragging Loggia to the mat.
Joes seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Loggia really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Joes. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Loggia is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Joes is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Joes wants to get back to his feet but Loggia is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Joes is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Loggia must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Joes seems keen to control Loggia's posture. Loggia is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Loggia is sitting in close to Joes's body. Joes has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Loggia is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Loggia is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Joes.
