Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shabazz Shabott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miloslav Klegr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Shabazz Shabott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Miloslav Klegr!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Bruno Hogan and Ben Hemmingworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shabott tries to clinch but Klegr is having none of it.
Shabott goes for a double leg but Klegr avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Klegr continues to drive forward.
Klegr misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Shabott fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Klegr moves into the clinch.
Shabott is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Klegr pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Shabott fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shabazz Shabott. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Shabott jumps guard but Klegr stands there with Shabott around his waist. Shabott gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Shabott is working for takedown but Klegr is calmly controlling the position for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Klegr has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Shabott after a bit of a struggle.
Klegr tries for a takedown. No joy.
Klegr unloads a knee to the mid-section. Shabott lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Klegr manages to pull guard.

Shabott is pushing down on Klegr's leg trying to pass to half guard. Klegr is fighting to maintain full guard but Shabott has managed to sneak the leg through.
Klegr throws a strike from the bottom but Shabott passes into side control!

Shabott postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Klegr tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Shabott easily slips into full mount!

Klegr is wriggling around trying to escape.
Shabott has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Klegr tries to reverse the position but Shabott maintains control.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Shabott cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Shabott goes for an armbar but Klegr turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Klegr.
Shabott wants to stand but Klegr is controlling the position.

Shabott is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Klegr is aware though and is defending well.

Shabott trying to keep a closed guard but Klegr is proving a slippery customer.
Shabott has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Shabott wants to sweep here but Klegr controlling him for the moment.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Shabott pulls Klegr in close to prevent any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Shabazz Shabott dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Klegr connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Klegr tries to clinch up

and Shabott counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Klegr can't keep his opponent in guard - Shabott advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Shabott is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Klegr is not content to let Shabott control the position.
Shabazz Shabott overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Shabott lands strikes from half guard.
Klegr slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Shabott decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Shabott defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Klegr.
As Klegr tries to get set, Shabott tries to push him back and clinch up but Klegr manages to avoid the attempt.
Shabott shoots for a double leg takedown but Klegr sprawls well. He's pushed Shabott's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Shabott looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Klegr tries to close the distance and clinch up but Shabott swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Klegr tries to score a power double leg takedown but Shabott sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Klegr somewhat.
Klegr shoots for a takedown but Shabott saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Shabazz Shabott has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Miloslav Klegr.

Shabott dives in and scores a takedown into Klegr's guard.
Shabott is standing up over Klegr. Klegr looks to escape but Shabott dives into side control.
Klegr is breathing heavily.

Klegr is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Klegr really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shabott. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ground and pound from Shabott seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Shabott controls the position.
Klegr is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Shabott lands a nice forearm strike.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Shabott slows the pace down.
Klegr is looking to regain half guard here but Shabott keeps moving and retains side control.
Shabott is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Klegr can do to turn this around?

Shabott working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Klegr lands a nice leg kick that just misses Shabott's sensitive parts.
Klegr goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Shabott closes this distance looking for a takedown but Klegr circles away.
Shabott shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Klegr but Klegr pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Shabott shoots in but Klegr avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shabazz Shabott. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Shabott tries to keep at a distance but Klegr has taken the fight into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Klegr breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Klegr fails with an attempt to clinch.

Shabott shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Klegr manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Klegr is working an open guard so Shabott takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Klegr uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Shabott scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Shabott is working for a kimura but Klegr is defending it quite comfortably.
Shabott is trying to control the action in half guard but Klegr is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Shabott controlling the pace.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Shabott wants to take a breather but Klegr is having none of it.
Shabott is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Klegr!
Shabott lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Shabott thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

Klegr reaches up to try and control the position but Shabott seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Klegr rolls and tries to escape and now Shabott has his back!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Klegr is taking damage to the body and head.
Klegr is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Shabott really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Klegr.

Shabott is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Klegr taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from Shabott.
