Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Godding closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Ford fails to pull the fight into his guard.
A head punch on the inside from Godding fails to land. Godding lands with a short head shot on the inside. Godding lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Godding lands with a left to the head. Ford tries to pull guard but Godding won't allow it.
Ford has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Ford is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Godding to keep the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Martyn Ford. That's going to take a lot out of him. Godding lands a hook that snaps the head of Ford backwards. Ford jumps guard but Godding turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Ford trying to stall but Godding improves his position.
Ford is trying to pull guard but Godding turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Godding scores with a nice hook to the head. Godding misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Ford is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Godding lands a hook to the side of the head. Godding pushes Ford back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ford jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Godding walks away with a smile on his face. Ford gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Godding rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ford moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Ford moves away from the strike by Godding. Chris Godding seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Godding closes the distance and pushes Ford back into the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. A nice right hand lands inside from Godding. Ford takes a shot to the head. Ford tries to pull guard but Godding holds him up against the cage and eventually Ford drops back down to his feet.

Godding misses with a short punch on the inside. Ford gets control of Godding's arms and successfully pulls guard. Ford will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Godding wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Ford's closed guard. He's half up but Ford has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Ford pivots and extends the arm, Godding falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Ford! Well done that man!
